After leaving Venice, I traveled north by car. I was visiting a few carnival ride manufacturing plants on this part of my trip. Flat is the best way to describe the region I traveled through. But in the distance the Dolomites reached up into the sky. Multiple vineyards spread across this low-lying region as I traveled north, stopping for lunch and some amazing espresso.
I stayed overnight in an old town that still had a 1,000-year-old wall surrounding it. My meal that night was chosen by the manufacture president, who knew just what to order. I sampled the local alcoholic beverages, including grappa and other sweet liquors.
