Austria
Basilika Mondsee, Austria
On my way to the salt mine outside Salzburg, Austria, I stopped in this sweet little town called Basilika Mondsee. This was the town where the church scene in the movie "The Sound of Music" was filmed, where Maria and the captain were married. The yellow church was opulent and at the time of my visit was undergoing renovations. The surrounding hills were soft with green meadows and lush forests. Later that same day I ventured off to the salt mine.
