Stone Tile Image

The image below has been transformed to a shower wall mural. The image choice was made because of its low angle vantage point and a bottom edge of water. I was standing in the water when I took the shot. The idea is to stand in the shower and have a seen of being in the water.

The shower floor is made up of multiple stones, which are close to the same values in the image, light gray. I took the image in color but converted it into a black and white and cropped it to fit the space (3 feet x 6 feet). I choose black and white so that there was little or no competition between the bordering stone tile and the image. I sent it to a company in California where they embedded the image on to 18- 12 x 12 inch stone tiles.

I framed the entire image with a pencil stone which also went around the entire bathroom.
